I am the proud single momma of a sweet 1 year old, Mary-Brenna Katherine Lewis! I know she has a crazy long name, but I love it! Mary-Brenna was definitely a surprise to our family, but is a glorious gift from the Lord. She has made my life so much more complete than I could imagine. I never realized I could love someone so much!
Here is a quick explanation of her name. The name Mary has been passed down on my Mom's side of the family for generations. My Grandma's middle name is Mary, my Mom's first name is Mary, and my middle name is Mary. Soooo... I wanted to pass down Mary to my daughter. However, I knew that having just Mary as her first name would be confusing! (Grandma and Granddaughter having the same name and all). I have recently become a fan of the name Brenna and I thought that combination Mary-Brenna was absolutely beautiful! Katherine of course is my name, and is now Mary-Brenna's middle name. All I can say is that my dear sweet baby girl will know when she is in trouble! MARY-BRENNA KATHERINE!!!!
Mary-Brenna and I are two silly girls who love to have fun with family and friends. I graduated from the University of Alaska Anchorage in 2010 with my BA in Elementary Education. I am a substitute teacher looking to get into the Mat-Su Borough School District with my own classroom soon. I love teaching and am so excited to be in this next stage of my life. I am really looking forward to see what the Lord has in store for Mary-Brenna and I.
Currently Mary-Brenna and I are living at home with my parents. I feel so blessed that they have opened their home to us. I know that we have sort of invaded different areas of the house, but my parents have been so generous. I know they love seeing Mary-Brenna on a daily basis and seeing her grow right before their eyes.
